I recently had the pleasure of attending the Worldwide Eyebrow Festival in Rotterdam with my business partner and husband, Jamar Moore. We hosted a booth there where I also gave a nano brow demonstration and presentation for melanin rich skin and how to get the best healed results.
It was an incredible opportunity to connect with top permanent makeup (PMU) artists from around the world. As Jamar observed, there were artists skilled in a wide range of techniques - including microblading, nano brows, lip blushing, eyeliner, and more.
Many were competing for recognition as the top artist in a specific service category and the competition was intense. What was amazing to see was artists at the highest levels still had an eager appetite to learn and improve their skills.
Despite their expertise they lit up at the chance to learn more about our featured products while visiting our booth. As they sampled our Zola all in one PMU machine, and our custom cartridge needles like the Zola Elevated Seven Magnum needle, they couldn’t believe the results they received after practicing for a few short minutes.
Even for those who struggled a bit with the innovative concept of the elevated 7 mag needle; they didn’t allow that to deter them but instead decided to buy several boxes to practice with.
The artists were also very intrigued by our sample brow pattern practice skin that helped them create a variety of beautiful brow designs. We ended up selling out very quickly and some even fought over the last few sheets!
Their drive and determination to master new techniques was truly admirable. As I told Jamar, their persistence stood out in contrast to tendencies I sometimes see in the US. On occasion here in the US, artists who struggle with a new method may have tendencies of giving up quickly rather than pushing themselves to improve.
But the artists we met internationally wouldn't be deterred - if they found something difficult, they'd push through until they got it right.
It's this refusal to be defeated that explains why there are so many incredible PMU artists across the world. They dedicate time to their craft despite busy lives.
As we strive to advance our own skills, their commitment should motivate us to keep practicing, learning, and developing our talents.

I hope sharing insights from this vibrant community of passionate learners will inspire every artist to stay driven. Don't give up or stop trying new things. Greatness comes from the hunger to always get better. Keep that desire alive!
